The Short Version—
Chase & Galley is a collaborative design studio based in Melbourne and run by Stuart Geddes.

The Longer Version—
Chase & Galley started life as a collaboration between Stuart Geddes and Jeremy Wortsman, emerging from their first project together - Is Not Magazine. Due to his expanding commitments to the Jacky Winter Group, which he founded, Jeremy has stepped down from his directorship of the studio, but still contributes to the occasional Chase & Galley project. Chase & Galley continues as a practice with a critical interest in print publication design, but whose experience and expertise ranges broadly outside this terrain.
Stuart now runs Chase & Galley as an experiment in collaborative studio practice, finding the right people to work with on each project, either locally or from around the world. This studio model allows for flexibility and ongoing renewal of processes, as well as unexpected combinations of forms and ideas, making each project the outcome of a unique and considered situation. This continues an investigation into studio practice models that was started in 1998 with Stuart's co-founding of Studio Anybody.
Stuart also continues a teaching relationship with RMIT and Monash Universities, is co-chair of the board of West Space, one of Melbourne's most prestigeous and innovative ARIs, was for two years the art director of Monument magazine, was for two years a councillor for AGDA Victoria, and in 2008 was an international judge on the London D&AD awards in the Newspaper and Magazine design jury.
