Utopian Slumps: The Collingwood Years

Utopian Slumps: The Collingwood Years is a book that captures the first not-for-profit years of this Melbourne contemporary art gallery. The book contains photo documentation of the shows from these three years, as well as artists pages and essays from curators and arts writers. The book's exterior plays with the idea of the imposing black contemporary art object, except with a material richness that begs to be handled. The interior is at times vibrant and energetic, and at times scholarly, much like Utopian Slumps itself.
